I know, I know. I've been really lazy at updating this thing. The truth is, I'm debating on even keeping it. I honestly don't think I have any readers of it. Not that this blog was created solely to gain a huge reading audience, but I feel it's kind of a waste of time for me now. I originally started keeping a blog so that my best friend Carrie could keep up date with me, but I talk to her almost every day by email and quite regularly on the phone. Also now with Facebook, I don't really see much of a need for a blog. I dunno, who knows, maybe I'll keep this going.
So Carrie got into town last Friday. I went up to her parents place after work to see her and couldn't believe how big she's gotten since I last saw her on Canada Day. She was 13 weeks pregnant then, she's almost 21 weeks now and the difference is unreal! She's such a small girl that maybe that's why she looks hugely pregnant to me, lol.
Saturday night Carrie and I went to see the movie Superbad - and it was Supergood! We laughed so hard! Sunday night we met up with Andrea and went and had a drink (calm down, Carrie's was non-alcoholic) on the patio of El Burrito Loco.
Monday was back to work for me. Carrie came over after I got off work and we gabbed and ate a bunch of popcorn. It's amazing how much her appetite has increased as well, lol. I just wish she lived closer so I could be there all along the way with her during her pregnancy.
I'm taking Friday off work and Carrie and I are thinking about day tripping it. Not sure where or what we'll do, but I'm sure it will be fun! It will be an extra long weekend for me because I somehow miraculously ended up getting the holiday Monday off too. Woohoo!

Fabulous Weekend!
What a great weekend I've had...despite ending it by getting a cold, lol.
Friday I left work on my lunch break at 4 p.m. Ryan showed up at the house when he got off work with beautiful flowers for me. He also gave me a card and a huge spa package that I have to take in 4 sessions! It includes absolutely everything - designer hair cut and hair treatments, massage, facial, waxing, pedicure, and more stuff that I'm forgetting about, lol.
I was then taken out for super by Ryan. We tried the new place on Main Street - Jives. That place is very overrated and I can't see it staying in business long. It was very overpriced, the food's taste wasn't overly wow-ing, and the portions were very, very small. For example, Ryan got stuffed sole. It was the size of if you put two fish sticks side by side. It was supposed to be stuffed with shrimp and it had one little tiny canned shrimp in it. His baked potato looked like it had been sitting around for about a week, lol. I had fish n chips. It had too much batter and it was cooked too long, so it was hard. The atmosphere was nice though, lol.
After supper we stopped at the liquor store where Ryan treated me to my liquor for the night. We then went to Shane and Valerie's and had lots of laughs and some birthday cake. It was a great night!
Saturday I was feeling the effects of partying hard the night before, lol, so it took me a while to get up and around and motivated, lol. I finally got around to making breakfast for us and then Ryan and I then went for a drive. We got Chinese food for supper and then went to Geary to the Speedway to take in some stock car racing. My brother works on a two car team there, so it was nice to go down and see him there. It was freezing and damp that evening though and it's left me with a cold and a bit of a sore throat.
Yesterday was laundry day at my parent's place and my parents and my brother took me out for dinner to celebrate my birthday as well. I wanted to go to the Sucoma Grill in the same plaza where Canadian Tire and Winners are. Ryan and I went there for his birthday and it was really good. We get there and the place is closed down! We went to Pizza Hut instead and then back to my parent's place for cake and gifts. My brother got me a DVD set and a gift certificate. My parents gave me a curling iron and a garden hose (I needed one...mine broke) and some money.
I have the best family and boyfriend ever! I was spoiled rotten this birthday!

Happy Anni-Birth-ary!
Today is my 29th birthday. This is the trademark birthday - the one I'll be "holding" on to forever...as in "No, I'm not 30, I'm 29 and holding"! Today is also mine and Ryan's anniversary. Four years ago today, on my 25th birthday we began dating. That is a birthday of mine that will go down in history and one that I doubt will ever be topped.
Not much has been going on this week. We did our shift bid at work on Tuesday for our fall shifts and I am happy to report that from mid September until February 1/08 I will have weekends off and will work Monday - Friday from 7:30 a.m. until 4:15 p.m. I couldn't be happier as a lot of you know the horrific shifts I have been working here for a long time. It has been atleast five years since I've had shifts this good here and although they are only for 5 months, I'll take them!
This weekend is looking to be a busy one. I am leaving work early today on my lunch break (4p.m.) and Ryan is taking me out for dinner. We are then going to Shane and Val's for cake and beer (sounds like a wierd combination, but trust me, it's a good one!) lol. We're thinking about going to the stock car races with my Dad tomorrow night and then on Sunday I will celebrate my birthday with my family, where I will go out for supper again with my parents and my brother and then more cake! Gotta love birthdays!

Monday here again
Another weekend in the books, over and done with. They go by way too fast! Friday night Ryan and I watched the movie 300. It was alright, he enjoyed it. I'm not really into "Medievil" times films, so it wasn't very appealing to me. It was the kind of movie that I would get up from numerous times throughout it and didn't really care that I was missing parts of it, lol.
Saturday we had breakfast and Ryan went to a friend's place to help them paint a huge fence. I borrowed my Dad's truck and completely filled the bed of it with bottles to be returned at the redemption center. It took what seemed like forever to lug them all up from the basement, take them outside and then load them into the truck. I get to the redemption center and wait for about 15- 20 minutes. Then the place closes it's doors and shuts down the operation for the day. It was 2 p.m. at this point. The redemption centers always used to be open until 4 p.m. I was so mad! So back home I go and have to now unload the truck and take everything back down to the basement. I had supper with Mom and Dad while Ryan was still painting. I then went home and just vegged for a bit. Ryan came home from working all day and was pretty tired and crashed early.
Sunday we had a big breakfast and then Ryan left to go biking on his motorcycle for the day. I went for an ice cream in the afternoon with my brother and then up to my parent's place to do laundry and to have Sunday supper with them.
Ryan and I watched another movie last night. Mel Gibson's Apocalypto. It was over two hours long and was in Mayan, so it was all subtitled. When Ryan showed up with it, I was less than impressed, but it turned out to be pretty good and the subtitle reading wasn't that bad.

Yeah, It's Friday!
This week has been busy at work, but has gone by quickly. We're doing our fall shift bid at work next Tuesday and for once for the entire 7 and 1/2 years I've worked here, I have a good feeling about the shift bid. There is a rumour going around that the "A" brand agents (that's me) won't be required to work any shifts beyond 10 p.m. YEAH!!!
I don't really have too much planned for this weekend. Ryan and I tossed around the idea of going kayaking, but who knows if it will actually happen or not, lol.
I'm getting excited for the weeks to come. My birthday is a week from today on the 17th and Carrie is coming home on the 23rd and staying for a little over a week. I miss her very much and can't wait to see how much her belly's grown since I saw her last on Canada Day.

NB Day Weekend Report
So the weekend of camping was great and filled with lots of fun. I left work on my lunch break at 4 p.m., made a couple of stops to get gas, a few last minute grocery items and some ice, then went home, loaded up the car and headed off to Shane and Val's to meet her and kids and follow them up to Woolastook. When we got the campground Shane and Ryan had just gotten back from kayaking and had the place all set up for us with the tents up and tarps up over the picnic and campfire area, with the rain forecasted for the evening, we were well prepared.
Valerie and I were sent on a wild goose chase in search of extension cords that they forgot at home. We drove all over God's green earth and finally ended up in Harvey (I know, I know, it would have been easier to go home) and got a couple of cords there. We get back to the campsite to discover that they weren't the right ones. Shane wanted ones with the multi unit on the end. These were just the single jobbies. Oh well, lol. By this point it was dark and we were just getting around to cooking supper. We ate, got the kids into bed and it started pouring rain. It didn't matter to us though as we had our tarps up and were nice and dry and even having a campfire under the tarps in the rain - much to the envy of other campers I'm sure.
Saturday we got up and had breakfast. We then drove to Mactaquac park and hung out on the beach for a few hours, making sand castles, swimming and enjoying an ice cream cone. From there we went back to the campground and decided to go boating. Ryan and Shane went out in the two kayaks we brought and Val and I rented a canoe and took the kids out in that. About 1/2 hour into our paddle we spotted some huge dark clouds and saw that a storm was rolling in. We were I'm guessing at least 10 km's from shore so Val and I paddled with all our might to get us back to shore. We made it in safely with the storm by-passing us (better safe than sorry) and the kids freaking out while out in the water and also with some sore shoulders later, lol.
Back to the campsite we went from there. We had supper and lounged around waiting for it to get dark. Once darkness started to fall, we all piled into Shane's truck and drove down to the beach where we had some fireworks to set off. We got down there and then another crew of campers came with fireworks that put ours to shame, so needless to say we had a great show.
We went back and put the kids to bed and started round two of beers and campfire, although we weren't as energetic on Saturday night as we were on Friday, which is usually the case when camping.
Sunday we had breakfast, packed up and headed home. I was exhausted! Ryan went and spent the afternoon and evening with his friend Pete who was up from Halifax. I did laundry at my brother's house so I could use his computer to upload some pictures while there and then went up to my parent's place as my Dad and brother had just gotten back from spending the weekend in Montreal. They went to the Nascar races and had a great time. I worked yesterday, so it wasn't a long weekend for me. Ryan went to Chipman and was in the parade for NB Day there with a car from work.

NB Day Weekend!
Happy NB Day to you all! It's a long weekend for the majority of us NBer's, but not technically for me. I am supposed to work on the holiday Monday, however it is looking like I may be making it into a long weekend. I have two vacation days that I've earned from work that I can use however I'd like. I'm leaving work today on my lunch break at 4 p.m. and using a half day today and I think I'll take all of Monday using one full day. Not 100% sure yet though about Monday.
Ryan and I are going camping this weekend with Shane and Valerie and their 2 kids. We're staying tonight and tomorrow and coming back on Sunday. Ryan and Shane have headed up to the campground now to set up shop for us. I'm meeting Val at 5:30 and we're heading up together then. Val runs a home daycare during the week, therefore she wasn't able to leave earlier with Shane and Ryan. It works out good for me though, because I got to work half my shift and not have to use up a full day's vacation.
Ryan had a fantastic day at work yesterday. He sold 3 cars in one day...a record! He also found out that earned "Salesperson of the Month" for July! Keep your eyes on the newspaper for his picture in there very soon! :)
