Another weekend overwith and another work week here :S. The weekends just never seems long enough, especially when I haven't really had any vacation time off this summer.
Friday night after work I went over to Shane and Valerie's place. Ryan was already there as they were having a BBQ earlier while I was stuck at work. I was going to leave work early "sick", but decided not to as I was "sick" the Friday before. The BBQ was overwith by the time I got there, but everyone was still out on the deck having a great time. Ryan just got his new demo on Friday so he was excited to show it to me when I first got there to Shane and Val's.
Saturday we slept in late and then went to the market with my brother. In the afternoon Shelly picked me up and we took her kids swimming at her father-in-law's pool. It was so hot out, so it was very refreshing! Later in the evening I went out to Ryan's parent's house as they're away in Newfoundland currently and we had a relaxing evening at home.
Sunday was the usual laundry day and dinner at my parent's house. After dinner I went back out to Ryan's parent's place and we went for a drive in the new demo and then came back and watched Big Brother and then John from Cincinnati. I'd never seen "John" before as it's on the movie network and was surprised at how many big name actors were in this show. The episode itself wasn't that great, but I watched it all due to the number of actors in it, lol.

TGIF!!!
Yeah, it's Friday! Finally! If only the weather for this weekend was forecasted to be better. It's supposed to be rainy and/or thunder showers all weekend :(. I've been itching to hit a beach this weekend after getting a taste of Grand Lake last weekend when we stopped to put our feet in.
Shane and Valerie have invited us over for a BBQ tonight at 6 p.m. I work til 9 p.m. tonight and have been debating on being "sick" tonight and going over at 6 or to just go over at 9 when I'm off work. I was "sick" last Friday in order to go to the concert, so it may look bad if I'm "sick" this Friday too. Although my perfect attendance for the month is already messed up and I've got lots of sick time....oh the dilema! lol.
This morning I drove Ryan to work so that something fantastic can happen to him today. He's getting a new demo car today!!! He's had to fight for this demo car for months and is finally getting one! When he started working at the dealership last winter they told him that the company didn't give demos to their salespeople, that they gave them a car allowance instead. Ryan then came to find out that all of the salespeople over the age of 25 did indeed have demos.
Ryan has been discussing the demo possibility for a while now and the new sales manager told him last week tht if he sold 15 cars this month, then he could have a demo. Fifteen is an un-attainable number, so Ryan gave up hope of getting a demo. He's in the lead currently this month for top salesperson with 8 sales so far and apparantly the new sales manager that they just got now realizes how valuable Ryan is.
When he came back to the dealership yesterday afternoon from doing company errands, the new manager took Ryan outside and told him that he had something he wanted to show him. It was his demo! He's on cloud nine and is so happy!

Rules To Life In 2007
My aunt forwarded an email to me the other day with comedian George Carlin's new rules to life in 2007. It was so funny that I had to post it here. Warning - there's some profanity in the article.
GEORGE CARLIN'S NEW RULES FOR 2007
New Rule: No more gift registries. You know, it used to be just for weddings. Now it's for babies and new homes and graduations from rehab. Picking out the stuff you want and having other people buy it for you isn't gift giving, it's the white people version of looting.
New Rule: Stop giving me that pop-up ad for classmates.com! There's a reason you don't talk to people for 25 years. Because you don't particularly like them! Besides, I already know what the captain of the football team is doing these days -- mowing my lawn.
New Rule: Don't eat anything that's served to you out a window unless you're a seagull. People are acting all shocked that a human finger was found in a bowl of Wendy's chili. Hey, it cost less than a dollar. What did you expect it to contain? Lobster?
New Rule: Stop saying that teenage boys who have sex with their hot, blonde teachers are permanently damaged . I have a better description for these kids: 'Lucky bastards'.
New Rule: If you need to shave and you still collect baseball cards, you're a dope. If you're a kid, the cards are keepsakes of your idols. If you're a grown man, they're pictures of men.
New Rule: Ladies, leave your eyebrows alone. Here's how much men care about your eyebrows: Do you have two of them? Okay, we're done.
New Rule: There's no such thing as flavored water. There's a whole aisle of this crap at the supermarket, water, but, without that watery taste. Sorry, but flavored water is called a soft drink. You want flavored water? Pour some scotch over ice and let it melt. That's your flavored water.
New Rule: Stop screwing with old people. Target is introducing a redesigned pill bottle that's square, with a bigger label. And the top is now the bottom. And by the time grandpa Figures out how to open it, his ass will be in the morgue. Congratulations, Target, you just solved the Social Security crisis.
New Rule: The more complicated the Starbucks order, the bigger the asshole. If you walk into a Starbucks and order a 'decaf grandee, half-soy, half-low fat, iced vanilla, double-shot, gingerbread cappuccino, extra dry, light ice, with one Sweet-n'-Low, and One NutraSweet,' ooh, you're a huge asshole.
New Rule: I'm not the cashier! By the time I look up from sliding my card, entering My PIN number, pressing 'Enter,' verifying the amount, deciding, no, I don't want Cash back, and pressing 'Enter' again, the kid who is supposed to be ringing me up Is standing there eating my Almond Joy.
New Rule: Just because your tattoo has Chinese characters in it doesn't make you Spiritual. It's right above the crack of your ass. And it translates to 'beef with broccoli.' The last time you did anything spiritual, you were praying to God you weren't pregnant. You're not spiritual. You're just high.
New Rule: Competitive eating isn't a sport. It's one of the seven deadly sins. ESPN Recently televised the U.S. Open of Competitive Eating, because watching those athletes at the poker table was just too damned exciting. What's next, competitive farting? Oh wait, they're already doing that. It's called 'The Howard Stern Show.'
New Rule: I don't need a bigger mega M&Ms. If I'm extra hungry for M&Ms, I'll go nuts and eat two.
New Rule: If you're going to insist on making movies based on crappy old television shows, then you have to give everyone in the Cineplex a remote so we can see what's playing on the other screens. Let's remember the reason something was a television show in the first place is that the idea wasn't good enough to be a movie.
New Rule: And this one is long overdue: No more bathroom attendants. After I zip up, some guy is offering me a towel and a mint like I just had sex with George Michael. I can't even tell If he's supposed to be there, or just some freak with a fetish. I don't want to be on your webcam, Dude. I just want to wash my hands
New Rule: When I ask how old your toddler is, I don't need to hear '27 months.' 'He's two' will do just fine. He's not a cheese. And I didn't really care in the first place.
New Rule: If you ever hope to be a credible adult and want a job that pays better than Minimum wage, then for God's sake don't pierce or tattoo every available piece of flesh. If so, then plan your future around saying, 'Do you want fries with that?'

Back In The Saddle Again!
I made it back off the island safe and sound! What a weekend! This will definately be a long entry today, so settle yourself in, lol!
Thursday night I talked to Carrie on the phone for a bit and then talked to Ryan afterwards. He had to go into work on Friday as he was working a good lead. He was talking to Matt early that evening and Matt also had to go into work (he's also a car salesman, in Saint John), so they decided that we would still leave on Friday, but just later in the day. Ryan was hoping to get out of work by 1 p.m.
Ryan called me at around 2 p.m. and was held up at work. He had a good morning at work and had to deliver 2 vehicles he sold, so he was hoping he'd be able to get out of work by 4 now. Long story short, he worked the whole day. I had to be "sick" on Friday, but had I known how delayed we would have been, I would have worked 1/2 my shift. Oh well. So by the time we actually got on the road and did the drive-thru thing for supper, it was 6:30 p.m. Matt and Melissa were in Moncton already waiting for us, killing time at the mall. We called them when we were first getting to Moncton, met them at the Burger King, went to the Liquor Store, dropped Matt's car off at a friend of my mom's house and were finally on our way to P.E.I - at close to 10 p.m.
We made it to the island and went to eat at the Boston Pizza in Charlottetown. We had arrangements to camp in Matt's uncle's backyard, who lived outside of Charlottetown in Cornwall. It was so late that we drove around just looking for some woods to pitch the tent for the night and then go to the uncle's place in the morning. Fact of the day - P.E.I. has no woods - every inch of that place is occupied! So we ventured to Cornwall and find the uncle's house. This was like 1:30 a.m. by now. Just so you know, setting up a tent in the dark isn't much fun. Uncle also wasn't home this weekend, he was vacationing in N.B. There go my ideas of a flush toilet and a shower. Oh well, there will be bushes in the backyard to hide in to pee. Wrong. There were a couple trees, but no bushes to conceal yourself in. Night time was fine, no one would see you. Daytime not so much. Put it this way, I mastered the art of peeing in a tent into a cup.
Saturday we went into town and had breakfast at a Chinese/Canadian restaurant. I ordered scrambled eggs and sausages. It looked somewhat like what I'd ordered, but it surprisingly tasted a lot like rice, egg rolls, chicken balls, lol. We then started making our way out of the downtown area and found a much better way to the concert site and a wicked parking place, so we were all set for when we decided to head back. This was about noon at this point, of which we could enter the concert grounds if we wanted to, but we chose to wait as the opening acts were sh*t.
We stopped at a Go Kart track on the way back to Cornwall and met up with Melissa's friend Scott who came over to the island for the concert by himself. We went back to the "campsite" and it started pouring rain. Luckily I had brought a tarp so we strung that up and sat under the tent and had a couple of beers waiting out the rain.
At around 4 p.m. we made our way to the concert. I agreed to be the D.D. (designated driver) for the event (I had only had 1 beer at the "campsite") so that the others could drink. I'm not a big drinker myself, so this didn't bother me in the least. We park in our spot we picked out earlier and started walking towards the concert. We're approaching the raceway where the concert was being held and Scott tells us that he forgot his ticket in the car. He runs back and we wait for him to come back. He returns after about 15 minutes and then we're in.
The first place we hit was the beer garden and we stayed in there for a good few hours. This was Melissa's first outdoor concert and she decided she'd go all out and decided to participate in the mud wrestling that was going on. She was mess to say the least. I saw a few familiar faces while we were in the beer garden - Joel who works with Ryan and who was over to the house last week and Jamie, my friend Sherri's husband - Sherri I got a picture of Jamie, it's on my Facebook page, lol.
After Cheap Trick finished playing and everyone had finished with their beer tickets and $5 hotdogs, popcorn or hamburgers, we headed out to the main area in preparation for Aerosmith. We managed to worm our way up pretty close, but not without separating. We knew this would eventually happen. The plan was to all meet at the car if we got separated. It was all good, Ryan and I were together and I had the keys to Scott's car (we took his and not mine...thank God cause Melissa was covered in mud) so it was all good.
We were waiting for Aerosmith to come on and I recognized a guy who was standing in front of me. I then realized where I recognized him from - he currently works at the Petro where Carrie, Ryan and I used to work. I said to him "Hey, you're from Fredericton, you work at the Petro don't you" and he looked at me shocked, thinking "How the hell does this girl know me", so I told him I go there regularly and that I used to work there. We talked for a while about Neil (the boss there) and he was surprised that Neil came to Carrie's wedding when I told him, lol. So Carrie, once again we can say "It all goes back to the Petro"...even travelling to P.E.I.!
Aerosmith came on stage and rocked, although I was a little dispointed that they played a good 1/2 hour worth of sh*t when they could have been playing some better songs. There were a good dozen that they didn't play that I did want to hear. For example they didn't do Janey's got a gun, Come together, Crazy, Amazing, Dues Wild, Back in the saddle, to name a few. They opened with Love in an elevator - which was fackin' awesome and did play some great tunes like What it takes, Crying, Eat the rich, Living on the edge, Sweet emotion and encored with Walk this way. I was disappointed that they only did 1 song for an encore, but nothing can ruin how I felt being there holding the man I love and watching Steven Tyler sing "I don't wanna miss a thing". It was incredible!
So they played for almost 2 hours in total. I got some pretty good pictures (check em out of my Facebook page) and also got some video with my digital camera (sound and all!) which once I figure out how to post, I will. Getting out of the concert wasn't too bad surprisingly, though if Ryan had have let go of my hand I would have gotten sucked into the crowd for sure. We all met back at the car as planned and maybe only had to wait about 10 minutes tops to get out and be able to drive home at a good pace. I was shocked really, because every outdoor concert I've ever gone to, I've had to wait like an hour to get out of there.
We drove back to Cornwall and stopped at the only place open in this little village to get something to eat - Pizza Delight. We luckily managed to get our order in before they shut things down for the night - this place was swamped with orders. Bear in mind this is a little small village with a population of a couple thousand and they totally didn't expect to be this busy. Anyway, after 45 minutes of waiting, we got our pizza and headed back to the "campsite". We had some more beverages and then crashed, knowing we had to get up early. Matt had to be back home in Saint John by 3 p.m.
We got up in the morning, had the rest of our pizza for breakfast, tore down camp, packed the car and were outta there in no time. We surprisingly didn't have to wait long at the bridge at all - good thing we left early. I'd heard that in the afternoon the line up to cross the bridge was all the way back to the village of Crapaud.
We made our way to Moncton and picked up Matt's car and said farewell to he and Melissa. Ryan and I stayed in Moncton for a bit and had lunch at East Side Marios and then went shopping at the Old Navy store there. We took our time the rest of the afternoon, stopping at Grand Lake to dip our feet in (I wanted to swim but we had no place to change into our bathing suits) and then we stopped on the old highway somewhere for an ice cream.
All in all it was a great weekend, mind you I did have a streak in there where I was bitchy to Ryan - a.k.a. driving around at 1:30 a.m. looking for a place to tent while Matt, Melissa and I are all voting to go back and find the uncle's house, which is what we eventually did. I have apologized to him for my cranky-ness, but can ya blame me. It was 1:30 a.m. and we had just driven to P.E.I. - I was tired and wanted to settle in for the night, lol.

Sick and Tired!
So we're leaving tomorrow to head to P.E.I. for the big Aerosmith concert. Or atleast that's what the plan is. We've been unable to get in touch with Matt all week, so we're still unsure about the whole leaving on Friday/Saturday thing. We're still hoping we can leave tomorrow to head the island. Ryan and I have decided that even if Matt and Melissa don't want to head to the island until Saturday, then the two of us are still going to head to Moncton tomorrow anyway and just camp out there overnight and start our vacation early. We'd just meet up with Matt and Melissa on Saturday in that case.
My allergies are really bothering me quite badly today. My head hurts and my sinuses are killing me and I'm super snotty (not just my attitude, lol). Maybe where I'm not feeling so well today I won't feel so guilty calling into work tomorrow to tell them that I won't be in due to my "P.E.I. flu", lol.
Ryan went out to the Snooty Fox last night with a bunch of people from work. One of the salesmen is leaving for Saskatchewan next week to start training with the R.C.M.P., so they all got together to say farewell. Ryan came home around 11:30 last night with Joel, a co-worker of his who I met last month at the company dinner. Joel stayed at the house until 12:30 when his wife came to pick him up and he and I jammed with my two guitars. It was fun to play with someone else for a change, as I never get to do that anymore.
I'm super tired today. I didn't sleep well last night at all and maybe got 3 hours of sleep into me at the most. I was having one of those nights where I just couldn't get comfortable, I was hot then I was cold, I'd throw the blankets off of me, then I'd put them back on, etc. The last time I checked the clock it was after 4 a.m. I finally fell asleep and then after 5 a.m. my cat started bugging me and woke me up, grrrr. Hopefully I can get a full 8 hours sleep tonight before our camp out begins.

3 More Sleeps...hopefully!
Tuesday already. Here's hoping the next few days go by just as quickly. Only 3 more sleeps before we head to P.E.I. Well, hopefully only 3 more. We've been planning on leaving on Friday all along to beat a lot of the traffic and to also be able to do a few more things on the island, other than just going to the concert. The other couple we're going with live in Saint John and Saint John was sold out of tickets, so Ryan picked up 2 tickets for Matt and Melissa here. Melissa was in Fredericton on business yesterday and met up with Ryan to give him the money for their tickets and Ryan gave her the tickets then. She mentioned something to him about leaving on Saturday. Ryan tried to persuade her to leave on Friday as we've been wanting to and she said she'd talk to Matt about it. Matt and Ryan have been in the works of us all going to this concert for quite some time...Matt knows that we've been wanting to leave on Friday all along. So me's thinks that this Melissa girl (whom I've never met) is the one who doesn't want to leave on Friday. I sure hope that we do get to leave on Friday. It's not like Ryan and I can take off on Friday on our own and meet up with them later. We're camping out in Matt's uncle's backyard, so we need to all go together. Anyway...hopefully it works out.
Another weekend flew by us like nothing didn't it? My weekend was filled with the following in no particular order:
-heading to Oromocto to go to Kim's and pick up some items of mine
-watching the movie Ghost Rider
-going to Walmart
-paying the power and phone bills
-going to the drugstore
-picking $9.50 worth of strawberries at the U-Pick
-washing the inside and outside of my car
-spending time with my parents on their anniversary
-going to Shane and Valerie's place
-3 loads of laundry
-visiting my aunt and my cousin's 2 year old daughter (my cousin lives in AB and was home due to a death on his father's side of the father, my aunt was babysitting while they were away for the funeral).
-BBQ-ing chicken
-going to my brother's place to use his computer to download music
Wow, I didn't realize how much I'd done this weekend until I started listing it like that. I didn't think I did too heck of a lot this weekend, lol.

Finally Friday!
This day is going by surprisingly fast for me, after the week dragging by. It's now over half way through my shift and I'm just getting to my blog now!
This weekend is my parent's 34rd wedding anniversary. I was counting in my head last night how many years they were married and was like "holy cow"! My parents have been married longer than they were old when they got married. My Dad was only 23 when they got married - I couldn't even imagine getting hitched that young! I was so young and stupid when I was 23, I dunno, maybe 23 year olds were more mature in my parent's days.
So Ryan and I have decided to go to P.E.I. next weekend for the Aerosmith concert. He's supposed to be getting our tickets today from Mazzucca's. We're meeting his friend Matt and Matt's girlfriend in Moncton on Friday and then travelling with them to P.E.I. and camping in Matt's uncle's backyard. So atleast we have free accomodations to help cut the expenses. I haven't been to P.E.I. since I was like 10 years old, so I'm hoping get there early enough on Friday to do some sightseeing and maybe hit a beach!
